Queen of Wands is a color comic which has bordered panels that seem to break free of the typical frame by frame environment. It has a beautiful look, using blurred backgrounds and vividly colored foreground characters, which give it the quality of an animated cell. The characters are also a lot of fun. It's easy to fall in love with Kestrel which has all the bitchiness of a woman who despises stupidity, but mixes it liberally with a "llittle-girl" quality where her two best friends (and married roomates) act as "parents". It also has a kitty, so how can I NOT love it.

Love it! Great writing and use of stuff I actually can identify with. Ah, Final Fantasy...

This comic is great. I heard about it when the "Chainsaw of Human Selection" strip was made and from then on I was hooked on Queen of Wands.
