Diesel Sweeties is funny, and thoughtful. It doesn't take the easy way out on a joke, and it will make you laugh. Sure, it's got some non-standard pacing, but isn't that a good thing? The characters are engaging, but they won't bore you. Give real comedy a chance.

Its really quite boring. Maybe i just don't get it.

Diesel Sweeties is . . . odd. It has very basic drawings in it but the layout is what makes it so interesting. Stevens uses square panels (sometimes a panel is two squares) and usually the action is just two people talking. The backgrounds change from panel to panel and the panels are always in different patterns. The characters change just slightly to indicate different emotions. This comic is the only comic I'd venture to call minimalist because Stevens does so much more with his little pixelated people than most other webcomics do with their big flashy backgrounds and action scenes. I think I forgot to mention that it's really funny again. Definitely worth a read.
